She was born in Waynesboro, the daughter of the late H. Milton and Nannie S. Omwake Benedict. All of her life was lived in Waynesboro.
She was a graduate of Waynesboro High School and attended Juniata College. For two years she taught at the Harrison School near the Antietam Junction.
Miss Benedict was employed at Landis Machine Company and was operator of the IBM equipment in connection with the cost accounting department.
She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Chester Adams, Waynesboro.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, at 2 p.m. from the Grove Funeral Home. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro, PA.
