Charles E.F. Auburg came with his family to Graham, Young County, Texas in 1873 and started the second saddle and harness shop on the north side of the square.

Charles Auburg married Mrs. Sarah Susan Cottrell at Hood County, Texas on 17 March 1870. They are buried beside each other in the Estelline cemetery, Hall County, Texas. They had the following children: Jesse Thomas, Arena Ann, Maud, Jackson E., Logan, Bea and was preceded in death by one son, J.L. Auburg, 12 May 1901-4 August 1902.

Charles Auburg sold his saddle shop in 1896 and moved to Finis, Texas. In 1898, the family moved to Estelline. Charles Auburg was a saddle and harness maker and had the Mill Iron cowboys for his best customers.

One daughter, Maud Auburg married Frank Cox in April 1902. Frank Cox was a lawman in Hall county for 25 years. They lived in Childress and Tell before moving to Amarillo in 1943.

One daughter, Arena Ann married Horace E. Mullins of Turkey. They moved to Turkey in 1906. There were 10 children born to the Mullins family. Their oldest son was William B. Mullins.
