FINANCING MARRIAGE
The happiest marriage are by no means dependent on the possession of a fortune. However, a man, to be fair to the girl he wishes to marry, to say nothing of himself, should have in actual possession some way to make a living for her. Many times a struggle is good for the development of the helpmeet when it comes unforeseen. But to deliberately walk into such a fight with actual want as stares in the face the hastily married, penniless, jobless youth, is to court everything which tends to breed misery.
