WALTER ROSE

Walter Rose, 23, 3rd Brother to Meet Death in Two Years
Friends here received the shocking news Friday of the demise of
Walter J. Rose, 23, of Chicago, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Rose of Grafton, and formerly residing on a farm in this vicinity, who was stabbed to death by his wife, aged 24, a dancer, after a family quarrel early Thursday night.
The quarrel which ended with the fatal stabbing, done with the family butcher knife, began when the deceased arrived home, and accused his wife of being drunk.
Mr Rose was born in Essen, Germany on November 5, 1911, and came to this country with his parents in 1926. They resided in Brillion for two years; at Kiel for five years, and the last two years at Grafton. Nine months ago Mr. Rose was married and since then has been living in Chicago where he was employed as a cook in a hotel.
He also was employed as a cook in the Schroeder Hotel in Milwaukee for four years. Mrs. Rose was a tavern toe dancer.
Survivors are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Rose of Grafton; one brother, Alfred, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Hattie Axnick and Mrs. Anna Lesnick, both of Milwaukee. Two years ago on July 23, two of Mr. Rose's brothers, Helmuth and Edmund, met with an accidental death, having been drowned in the Sheboygan river, near here.
The body arrived here on Friday and lay in state at the Meiselwitz Funeral Home until Sunday, when services were conducted both there and at the Kiel cemetery, where interment made - 1935
