Laura M. Segrest, 51, of Madison, died Monday, Jan. 4, 2010, at King's Daughters' Hospital.

She was born July 25, 1958, in Madison, the daughter of Thomas C. Jr. and Betty Smith Eden. She owned a private home cleaning business for many years and also worked at the former Cafè Camille and as a caregiver in nursing homes. She was a member of the Jefferson Post 9 of the American Legion.

She is survived by two sons, Christopher Anglin of Berea, Ky.. and Bobby Kettle of Rhode Island; one daughter, Tonya Burton of Charlotte, N.C.; seven sisters, Wanda Finney, Tammy Riddell and Chelsea Bear, all of Madison, Rosie Bryson of Mississippi, Viola Stucker of Silsby, Texas, Leta Eden of Chelsea and Penny Beach of Warsaw, Ky.; two brothers, Teddy Eden and Donnie Eden of Jeffersonville; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father; her mother, Betty Smith Imel; three brothers, David Stucker, Roger Stucker and Tony Eden; and one niece.

The funeral was at Lytle Funeral Chapel. Burial was in Hibernia Cemetery in Clark County.
