Mr. Clifton C. Gibson of Hackett, Arkansas, died Saturday, Janaury 2, 2010, in Greenwood, Arkansas. Mr. Gibson was 96 years old. He was a retired carpenter; a United States ARMY World War II veteran; and of the Baptist faith. Mr. Gibson was also a Masonic Mason and was a member of the Amity Lodge #267 F&AM.

Mr. Gibson was preceded in death by his parents and his wife first wife: Neta Gibson.
He is survived by his wife: Mildred Gibson; a daughter: Evelyn Ibison, of Hackett, Arkansas; two sons: Jesse Gibson, of Cameron, Oklahoma and Clifton Gibson, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma; three sisters: Jessie Pitman, of Hackett, Arkansas, Vera Mullins, of Kentucky, and Lillie Robbins, of Aromas, California; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren; and many good friends.

Funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 5, 2010, at the 1st Baptist Church of Hackett, Arkansas. Mr. Gibson was laid to rest at Mountain View Cemetery in Hackett, Arkansas.
Pallbearers were: Eugene and Mark Ibison, Craig and Tracy Gibson, and Alvis and Clifton Didway.
