Full name: Oliver Kirby White

Major league baseball player 1909-1911. Pitcher for the Boston Doves and the Pittsburgh Pirates.


He was the oldest of 8 children. In 1900, age 16, he was working in a machine foundry.


He played for the Pittsburgh Pirates from 4 May 1909 to 24 May 1911. His nickname was "Red" and he was 6'0" tall and weighed 190 lbs. He batted Left and threw Right.

On his military draft registration in 1917, he was listed as a single farmer. In 1920, he was married, and his occupation was listed as baseball player. In 1930, and until he died, he worked as a furniture finisher.
