Mr. Allen was a member of the Eastern Star and served as a Worthy Patron. He was a deacon in the Eliasville Baptist Church.

Survived by his wife; one daughter - Mrs. William C "Gladys" Davis, Jr; two sons - Garlon E Allen and Billie Joe Allen; one sister - Mrs. Gene Milam; two brothers - Jim Allen and Tom Allen; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
