Robert A. Gausman, age 77, of Fairbury died Feb. 2, 2007, at the Jefferson Community Health Center in Fairbury. Services were Feb. 7 at the United Methodist Church in Fairbury with Pastor Warren Schoming officiating.

Burial was at the Chester Cemetery with military honors.

Memorials are to the family's choice.

He was born Feb. 19, 1929, at Hubbell.

He is preceded by parents, Julius and Rosa (Young) Gausman, infant daughter, Jill Suzanne Gausman.

Survivors are wife, Phyllis Gausman of Fairbury; daughters and husbands, Julie and Rick Little of North Platte, Joni and Mike Backer of Fairbury; Son, Jeff Gausman of Fairbury; eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, sisters and husbands, Leona and Jerry Miller of Lincoln, Maxine Moxham of Newark, Calif.; Joann and Donnie Elwell of Lincoln; brother and wife; Max and Roberta Gausman of Chester.

Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home in Fairbury was in charge of arrangements.
