Obituary: Glenwood Iowa paper The Tribuen - George F. Folden, one of the early day settlers of Mills County, died Thursday morning at 4 o'clock at his home 8 miles south of Glenwood, aged 88 years. He had been a resident of this county for 60 years, and was born Feb. 22, 1823 in VA. He is survived by a wife and one daughter, Mrs. Wm Marley, who is the last of 11 children. Had he lived till September, his married life would had extended over a period of 60 years. A sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Calvert, lives south of Glenwood, and there are two surviving brothers, Rev. A. L. Folden at Nebraska City, and Wm Folden of Beatrice Neb. The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Waubonsie Church and burial will be made in the cemetery there.
