It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Victoria "Tori" Katherine Rice, 17, of Las Cruces on Wednesday, December 30, 2009, when she was called back home. She was given to us on April 29, 1992 in Denver, Colorado.
"Tori" as she was fondly known to family and friends was a student at Oñate High School and most currently at Las Montañas High School. She was a member of the Heart for the World Church.
Survivors include her mother and step-father, Jodi and John Faragoi of Las Cruces; a son, Camerron Michael Todd Rice; one brother, Jason Michael Todd Rice; and a sister, Alexandria Denae Rice (Louie) all of Las Cruces. Other survivors include her maternal grandmother, Mary Rice of Commerce City, Colorado; paternal grandparents, John and Carlita Faragoi of Aurora, Colorado; her great-grandmother, Margaret Alires Dolezal; as well a numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Charles Henry Todd Rice, great-grandfather, Arthur Dolezal; great-grandparents, Les and Rose Goor; an aunt, Linda VanSchoiack and a cousin, Dominic Faragoi.
Tori will be laying in state from 1 PM to 2 PM, Wednesday, January 6, 2010 in Heart for the World Church, 1605 S. Valley Drive, where the Funeral Service is scheduled to begin at 2 PM, with Pastor Dale Walker, officiating. Concluding Service and Interment will follow in Masonic Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest.
