Jake began school in Spokane, then spent his middle school years and early high school on Mercer Island, exception his Junior year at Hood River High School then graduation from Eastmont High in East Wenatchee, Washington.

Jake began life with an immediate passion for life long learning, he seriously never turned down a good book, including collecting comics. His love of sports was proven with skateboarding, snowboarding, early on the football field and continued with a love of the NFL and even fantasy football. Movies, music and endless trivia consumed his free time. Jake was a fantastic cook and loved to feed his family nutritious homemade food. More than once he declared a passion for wanting to be a stay at home dad as he truly new how to build a safe and fun nest. Tucking his daughters in nightly to read resulted in a number of book series being enjoyed by the family over the years.

Never one to shy away from work Jake demanded he be allowed to earn extra money. He won his first sales contest at the age of 10 and was hired at the Mercer Island McDonalds on his 15th birthday. As a Young Astronaut he participated with the NPR broadcast of the 747SP - Record Breaking - Friendship One Around the World Fundraiser at the Seattle Museum of Flight. Jake learned the pilot's code at a young age and then was later diagnosed as being color deficient so this prohibited his childhood dream of becoming a pilot. Later he became insurance licensed and managed the family office. At the age of 21 he entered a management-training program and spent 5 years with the Wenatchee Post Office. Later he fell in love with all phases of home construction, spent time working in auto parts amongst other jobs and lastly secured a position with Wenatchee Transit. Jake's biggest regret was not going to college as he dreamed of becoming a writer. This was evident to those who knew him well as he always had strong opinions and loved to challenge others to think.

Jacob made a huge impression on the lives of many. He wanted life to matter and left no stone unturned to find answers.
May he now rest in peace.
