Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home with visitation 5 to 7 p.m. Monday.
Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery. Memorials: Central Christian Church of Decatur.
Mrs. Rutherford was born July 30, 1904, in Vandalia, the daughter of William S. and Ida Widger Strong. She was employed by Decatur Dry Goods for 37 years and also worked in cosmetics sales for J.C. Penney Co. for 12 years. She was a member of Central Christian Church.
She married Hollie B. Rutherford in 1925. He preceded her in death on Dec. 17, 1987.
She is survived by her son, George "Bill" Rutherford and wife Eleanor of Decatur; grandsons, Gary Rutherford and wife Penny of Decatur; Wayne Rutherford and wife Donna of Decatur; Douglas Rutherford and wife Sherri of Decatur; Roger Rutherford of Decatur; Craig Rutherford and wife Karen of Golden, Colo.; nine great-grandchildren.
