Joyce Parker Dawson, 51, of Bentonville, died Friday, January 16, 2004, at St. John's Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.

She was born July 11, 1952, in Fayetteville, Arkansas, to Elmer Parker and Lillian Moore Parker.

Joyce was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved her church, her family and friends. She was always giving and unselfish. She was never brought down by her illness or trials. Joyce always had a smile, a listening ear and a helping hand for everyone. Her grandchildren were the delight of her life, and she always had a special treat for them close at hand.

Survivors include her husband of 34 years, James Benton Dawson of the home; two daughters, Jamie Kinsey and her husband Brian Kinsey of Centerton, Joie Bray and her husband Eddie Bray of Lowell; her four precious grandchildren, Emma and Bowen Kinsey of Centerton, and James and June Ellen Bray of Lowell; her mother Lillian Parker of Fayetteville; and numerous other relatives and close friends. She was preceded in death by her father in 1983.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2004 at the First Assembly of God Church of Bentonville, with Pastor James Longmate officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-8:00 p.m. Monday at the First Assembly of God Church of Bentonville.
Funeral arrangements are provided by Stockdale Funeral Service of Rogers.
