Dorrice A. Winchester Gilcrease, 82, of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, a former resident of Sour Lake, Texas, passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2004.
Funeral Services will be Thursday, July 8, 2004 at 9:00 A.M. at Broussard's 700 W. Saratoga Hwy, Kountze, Texas, with burial at Pine Ridge Cemetery in Sour Lake following the services. A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday, July 7, 2004 from 6: 00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. also at the mortuary.
A native of Willis, Texas, Dorrice lived in Buras, Louisiana for 30 years prior to moving with her husband to Ocean Springs, Mississippi.
Ms. Gilcrease was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Elmer C. Gilcrease and her son Donald Earl Jordan.
Survivors include a daughter: Diane Rodrigues and her husband Bill of St. Pete Beach Florida; son: David C. Gilcrease and his wife Joyce of Ocean Springs, Mississippi; a grandson: Stanton Chevalier of St. Pete Beach, Florida; a sister: Dortha McNeil Bowen and her husband Clarence; several nieces and nephews.
