When Arthur and Myrtle Steele Rowley welcomed their youngest child, Faye, into their family on August 5, 1920 they lived in Silver City, Utah. Faye joined her older siblings Archie, Arthur, Grant, Ruby, Louisa, Robert, and Garnet. They were later joined by June McNulty who was raised as an "adopted" son.

Faye attended school in Silver City and Eureka. She married the love of her life, Douglas Hamilton Redford, in 1940. Doug and Faye were the parents of three children Douglas, Peggy and Clark. Peggy died at the age of ten months during the terrible polio epidemic.

Following Doug's sudden death at an early age in 1962, Faye raised her boys alone. She attended Hollywood Beauty School to learn a profession which she could use to support her young family. Later she began as a waitress in what turned out to be a twenty year employment at the Sage Restaurant. She eventually became the cook at the Sage - mastering her cooking skills, which she used to the benefit of her family and friends.

In 1969, she married Jay Shepherd. During their years together they were able to do a great deal of traveling which she loved. Jay died in 1982. Faye began spending time with the Senior Citizen's traveling, learning to paint, and mastering the art of ceramics. Her many pieces are a joy to her family members. Faye enjoyed attending plays with a special friend Avonna Wright. Together they enjoyed many seasons of plays at the Capitol Theater and Kingsbury Hall.

Fyae passed away on Friday, January 1, 2010. She resided at 1225 East Center Street in Springville, Utah at the time of her death.

Faye was preceded in death by her parents, all of her natural brothers and sisters, both husbands, her daughter Peggy, and her son Clark.

She leaves behind her brother June McNulty and his wife Coleen, her son Doug his wife Connie, grandson Jason and his wife Debbie and their daughters Brittany and Amanda who did gramma's shopping and house cleaning; Daughter-in-law Kris and her children Marci Jones, her children Michael and Breianna, Brad Colcord, his children Matty and Melodey, Tristan Colcord, his wife Marie and daughter Skyler, Jeni, her husband Gordon Scott and daughter Shaelyn and Zac Redford and his wife Georgette. Also are many loving and caring nieces and nephews who often called or stopped to visit and check on and enjoy Aunt Faye's company. There were many friends who took great care in making sure Faye had what she needed. Thanks to Ralph and Janet Snelson who were more than home teachers, Avonna Wright, Delora Versluys and Susan Falen her special friends and also Deb Livingston her home health nurse whom Faye loved and trusted.
