Henry Jelle was my uncle. Hank is the little boy in this picture. It is one of the very few photo's of hank ever taken (he is with his mother and father with Lena being pregnant with his younger brother Talmer "1" who passed away as an infant). Hank never married. He suffered from polio as a young child and walked with a limp because of this. He lived on the farm with my dad and mother. Dad and Hank shared the expenses of farming the 80 acres that dad rented and the 33 acres that Hank owned about 3/4 mile from the 80 that was between the graveyards of the east and west Palisades churches in rock county Minnesota. This farm was where my mother and her siblings grew up. The farm was called the fraction, as it was a mile long strip of good farm land in Minnesota that bordered the eastern edge of South Dakota, just to the north of Booge SD. He had worked on the Railroad road gangs and my father worked in the roundhouse of the railroad in Garretson South Dakota in there earlier years of there lives. I will always remember "uncle Hank"
