Funeral services were held at 3 p. m. Saturday at Scott's Chapel for Mrs. G. R. Whitehead, 73, of Oglesby.
Mrs. Whitehead died last Thursday night, Oct. 19, in the Gatesville hospital.
Rev. Henry Radde and Rev. Bennie McBryde conducted the funeral rites, and burial was in the Restland Cemetery. Pallbearers were Cecil Roberts, Elner Cox, Cleo Whitehead, R. E. Pinnell, Bob Belsher and Floyd R. Rodgers.
Mrs. Whitehead was born Miss Julia Pinnell Sept. 13, 1888, at Moran.
She and Mr. Whitehead were married July 11, 1911, and they lived in Gatesville from 1953 to 1960.
Mr. Whitehead died Jan. 5, 1960, and Mrs. Whitehead had been residing in Oglesby since his death.
Survivors are two sons, Wiley R. Whitehead of Oglesby and Edwin Whitehead; one brother, Ben Pinnell of Moran; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
