Memorial services for Presley M. Williams, 65, were held in Restland Memorial Park, Dallas, July 21.

Mr. Williams, a native of Whitewright, died in the Veterans Hospital at Dallas Monday, July 19.

Mr. Williams was born in Whitewright Oct. 27, 1916, son of the late Haskel R. Williams and Gertrude Pierce Williams.

He was reared in the Bethel community and moved to Dallas with the family in the 1930s. He was a veteran of World War II and participated in three campaigns for the Solomon Islands and was in the liberation army of the Philippine Islands. He had four Bronze campaign stars and a Purple Heart. He had managed Shell service stations in Dallas for the past several years.

Survivors are his mother, Mrs. Gertrude Williams of Fort Worth; two sons, James Williams of Houston and Jimmy Williams of Austin; two daughters, Mrs. April Cromeans and Mrs. Cathy Stone, both of Austin; one brother, J. D. Williams of Dallas; two sisters, Mrs. Jerrye Smith of Richardson and Mrs. Christine Crawford of Fort Worth and five grandchildren.
