Mr. Monka was a well known and highly esteemed citizen of his section and was particularly well known in church circles, being a great worker in behalf of the church.

The Reporter – March 11, 1911 Deaths Franz Monka was buried here last Saturday from the Sacred Heart Church. The decedent was one of the earliest settlers in this part of the county, until about 8 months ago he owned a farm in the town of Two Rivers. The past months he has lived in the city.
