Went to be with Jesus, Thursday afternoon, September 8, 2005 at Watervliet Community Hospital. Milford was born January 22, 1929 in Kalamazoo, the son of John and Ruby (Tyler) Bont. He graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School and played a trumpet as a young man in the Salvation Army Band. He was preceded in death by his father and mother. Surviving are two brothers, Kenneth R. Bont and wife, Patricia of Ben Lomond, CA, and Lewis R. Bont and wife, Carolyn of Port Richie, FL; a sister, Katherine A. Johnson of Kalamazoo; and several nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 20, 2005 at the Comstock Maple Grove Cemetery with Pastor Jerry Lewis officiating.
