He was born December 25, 1902 in Steamboat Springs, Colorado to Seth Benjamin and Mary Matilda Smith Clark. He married Fern A. Hansen, June 15, 1932 in Lehi, Utah. His parents homesteaded at Red Cap (Arcadia today). Later he lived in Duchesne, Altonah, American Fork (where he met his wife), and Myton. He had interests in rodeo and horse training.

He is survived by his wife, Fern, of Myton; two sons and two daughters, Mrs. Clyde (DeLoa) Staneke, Portland, Oregon; Rodney Thomas Clark, Gusher, Charles Paul Clark, Layton; Mrs. John (Wilma Marie) Veltman, West Valley City; nine grandchildren, one great grandchild. Preceded in death by a small son Kenneth Eugene Clark. Burial in the Myton Cemetery.
