On August 17, 1945 she married Charles W. Caldwell, a Marine at Parris Island, SC. They lived and worked in Cleveland, Ohio, she at RKO Studios until they both attended the University of Alabama on the G.I. Bill in September 1946.
Following graduation in 1949, the couple moved to Oak Ridge, Tenn. for employment at the Oak Ridge Institute of Nuclear Studies. In 1950 Jackie began work for the AEC in Oak Ridge while her husband was recalled for the Korean War.
In 1957 they lived in Las Vegas, Nevada while occupied with the A-Bomb tests at the Nevada Test Site.
In 1974 they moved to Lake Dallas, Texas for self employment and Jackie worked at the North Texas State University until the couple moved to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania in 1985, where they opened 'Caldwell's Originals".
Jackie is survived by her husband, sons David (1958), Robert (1958), John (1965) and daughter Shonna (1960) four grandchildren and one great grandaughter.
She was a dear lady, good wife and loving mother.
Her remains were donated to the Anatomy Gifts Registry in Baltimore, Maryand.
A stone was erected in Evergreen Cemetery (Gettysburg) for Memorial Day 2014.
