Harl L. Robinson, 86, Independence, Mo., passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2005, at his home.
Mr. Robinson was born April 25, 1918, in Arondale, Okla. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during World War II, where he received the Purple Heart for wounds sustained during combat. He worked at Armco Steel for 26 years, retiring in 1982. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He is preceded in death by his wife, Lorene Robinson, his parents, George and Jennie Crider Robinson, a sister, Jule, and four brothers, Howard, Claudie, Dayton and Burt.

He is survived by five daughters, Sue Robinson, Millie Clingenpeel, Elva Jean Noth, Jennie Largent and Cheryl Doll, and a son, George Robinson, all of Independence; eight grandchildren, Elizabeth, Ernie, Rebecca, Travis, Krystal, Julie, Andy and Rachel; four great-grandchildren, Brett, Jacob, Brenden and Isabella; three sisters, Corijean, Marguarite and Georgie Faye; and a sister-in-law, Gale.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Friday, April 22, at the Chapel of Memories Funeral Home, Grain Valley, (816) 463-4030. He will be laid to rest privately in Fowler Chapel Cemetery, West Plains, Mo. Visitation will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
