Byron David Stout, died April 21, 2001.

Born May 16, 1930 to Dewey and Viola Allred Stout.

Married Naomi Fort, May 1, 1950 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Byron was an active member in the LDS Church.

Served as Scout Master and several other callings in the church.

He was highly involved in genealogy and was the Stout family historian.

He transcribed and published his grandfather's diaries.

Byron is survived by his wife, Naomi; five sons and one daughter, Paul B. (Stephanie) Stout, Sandy, Steve D. (Ingrid) Stout, Los Gatos CA, Sam E. (Claudette) Stout, W. Jordan, Ben F. (Jennifer) Stout, W. Jordan, Joe D. (Sherry) Stout, W. Jordan, Marianne S. (Arlin) Heaton, W. Jordan; 27 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Don D. Stout, Merle and Jerry Budd, JoLyn and Dale Fitzgerald, Mel and LaNeta Stout, and Maureen S. Clark.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and two grandsons.

He was a gentle man, a warm and loving father, grandfather and husband who dedicated his life to his family.

He had a wonderful outlook on life and a terrific sense of humor that we will all miss.

Service will be Thurs. April 26, 12 noon at the Cherrywood LDS Ward chapel, 4444 S. Early Duke St (5080 W).

Friends may call Wed. at McDougal Funeral Home 4330 S. Redwood, 5-8 p.m. and Thurs. 11-11:45 a.m. at the church.

Interment, Valley View memorial Park.
