OBITUARY - Plain Dealer, Wabash (IN) - Monday, March 4, 2002

FORT WAYNE--Isaac Kirk Davidson, 89, 1160 W. Main St., Lagro, died at 7:55 a.m. Sunday, March 3, 2002, at Parkview Hospital.

He was born on Nov. 10, 1912, in Oblong, Ill., to Lora Alonzo and Margaret Elizabeth (Jones) Davidson. He married Ethel Iva Inyart on Aug. 10, 1932, in Mt. Carmel, Ill. She died on March 17, 2001.

He was a production worker at Celotex Corporation, Lagro, for 24 years. He also worked for the Indiana Department of Natural Resources Forestry Division, and at one time he worked for Falls Cemetery and the Indiana State Highway Department. He also repaired automobiles, TVs, radios, and lawn mowers. He liked fishing, playing the guitar and harmonica, and was a camper.

Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Rex (Viola) Mowery, Mrs. David (Velma) Crull, Mrs. Jerry (Rose Mary) Kendall, and Mrs. Steve (Linda) Howard, all of Wabash, Mrs. Clifford (Carolyn) Mowery, Marion, and Mrs. Claren (Rowena) Goad, Fort Wayne; six sons, Gerald Davidson, Nolan Davidson and Leonard Davidson, all of North Manchester, Wendell Davidson and Randall Davidson, both of Lagro, and Allan Davidson, Wabash; a sister, Mrs. Lawrence (Loyette) Boggs, Huntington; 36 grandchildren; and 48 great-grandchildren. Three daughters and one brother are deceased.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Grandstaff-Hentgen Manchester Avenue Chapel. Pastor Roger Abels and Scott Saltsman will officiate. Burial will be in Falls Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Preferred memorials are to the Lagro Volunteer Fire Department.
