John was a farmer & was co-owner of the Nemechek Brothers Grocery & Dry Goods Store in Table Rock, NE. In 1911 they sold the store and bought a farm in Red Willow Co. NE. In the late thirties after living in various parts of Kansas where he operated dry goods and hardware stores he returned to Table Rock where he opened a shoe repair shop.
John died in the Gordon Home in Pawnee City at the age of 83 years, 7 months & 3 days.
