George Derowitsch, son of Morris and Fannie Derowitsch was born June 11, 1877 at Geneseo, Illinois, and passed away very suddenly of a heart attack at his home near Belleville, Ks. October 17, 1944, at the age of 67 years, 4 months and 6 days.

He was united in marriage to Anna Stinson on October 15, 1925 at Belleville, Kansas.

He moved to Republic County, with his parents at the age of eleven years and has spent the remainder of his ilfe (sic) on or near the place of his death. He leaves to mourn, his wife, Anna, two sisters, Ada Dyer of Excelsior Springs, Mo. and Etta Currier of Portland, Oregon, three brothers, Charles of Belleville, Kansas, Fred of Portland, Oregon, and Morrey of Hoxie, Kansas; six stepsons, Ezra and Bill Stinson of Belleville, Kansas, Frank Stinson of Republic, Kansas, and Dave, John and Earl Stinson of Washington state; four stepdaughters, Grace Heinz, Hazel Trunkey, Edna Moore and Gladys Young of the state of Washington. Several nephews and nieces and a host of friends.

George will be sadly missed by all of us. He was a very considerate husband and brother and a real father to his stepchildren, a good friend and neighbor to all.

Funeral services were held in the Methodist Church, Friday, October 20 with the Rev. J.G. Olmsted of the Christian Church officiating, and burial was in the Chester Cemetery.
