Gabrielle was my maternal grandmother. She was the daughter of Joseph T. Jirousek from Czechoslovakia (now the Czech Republic) and Florence M. Rethaber from France. She was a longtime resident of Dayton, Ohio, Beavercreek, Ohio, Haines City, Florida, and Tipp City, Ohio. She was the mother of three girls, including twins.

STORY, Gabrielle I. (Jirousek) Age 78 of Tipp City, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2005 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born on August 23, 1927 in Dayton, Ohio to Joseph and Florence (Rethaber) Jirousek who have preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her husband of 52 ½ years, Charles Story. She is survived by her daughters, Becky A. (Don) Streeter of Dayton, Debby L. (Bob) Kaucher of Trotwood, and Melissa Story (David) of Massachusetts; grandson, David Streeter; sisters, Mimi Hettinger of Centerville and Yvonne Isaacs of Washington Twp; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Story was a member of the Delco-Moraine Camp Club, the UAW Retirees and the Happy Notes singing group in Florida. Her family would like to extend a special thanks to all of the caregivers at Englewood Manor, Good Samaritan Hospital and Hospice of Dayton. Funeral services will be 12 noon Tuesday, October 25, 2005 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-East Third St. Chapel, 1817 E. Third St. Interment in Valley View Memorial Gardens. Her family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
