NEESES -- Mrs. Polly Boland Cooper, 71, died Wednesday in Orangeburg Regional Hospital after a long illness.

She was born in Orangeburg County, a daughter of the late Odom and Epsie Chavis Boland.

Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Mendel (Gladys) Smith of North, Mrs. B.W. (Blanche) Mitchum of Norfolk, Va., Mrs. Ellie Cooper of Lynchburg, Va., Mrs. Richard (Evelyn) Poole of Belment, NC, Mrs. Callie Mae New of Salley and Mrs. Rufus (Hilda) Johnson of Charleston; seven sons, Lonnie and Hilton Cooper of Neeses, Wade, Richard, and Norman Cooper of Charleston, Millard Cooper of Mountain City, Tenn. and Horace Cooper of Swansea.

Services will be 5 p.m. today at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

Blizzard Funeral Home of Wagener is in charge.
