BROWN, Rebekah Mohr Becky age 63 of Tipp City, Ohio died Tuesday December 29, at her residence after an extended illness. Born July 11, 1946 in Troy, Ohio to Garold and Margaret (Woods) Shepherd. Becky was the owner and president of PAK-IT Inc. Tipp City, a member of the Tipp City United Methodist Church, Tipp City Rotary Club, Order of Eastern Star, Miami County Republican Party, board member of Hospice of Miami County and US Bank. She was the 1989 Tipp City Citizen of the Year. Becky was chosen as the one millionth volunteer for the 2004 George W. Bush Presidential Campaign and was honored to spend the entire day with President Bush while campaigning on his tour bus throughout Miami County and Western Ohio. Later that year she was privileged to attend the Republican National Convention. Becky was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James Mohr in 1986, her husband Martin Brown in 2001, and her brother Bill Shepherd. Surviving are her sons Brian (Kristin) Mohr, Cincinnati; Scott (Portia) Mohr, Tipp City; daughters Shelly Lemirande and Stacy (Rob) Schmit, of Wisconsin. Her sister Jacque Steinmetz, Tipp City. Brother and sister-in-laws Dick (Carol) Mohr, Troy; Carol Shepherd, Tipp City, and Sandra Mohr, Piqua. Nine grandchildren Landon, Lucia, and Adelyn Mohr; Logan, Conor, and Cara Lemirande; Aaron, Andrew, and Alyssa Schmit. And her special friends Dan and Connie Pentaudi of Florida. Funeral services 11:00 am Tuesday January 5, 2010 at the Tipp City United Methodist Church, corner of Third and Main Streets, Tipp City. Reverend Bonita Wood officiating with burial in Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City. Visitation will be in the church sanctuary on Monday from 4 to 8 pm and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami County or the Arthur James Research Center of The Ohio State University in Becky's memory.
