Marshall Mountain Wave - March 9, 1907

After an illness of four weeks, Mr. H W Baker died at his home on Tomahawk, Searcy county, January 27. He had been in bad health for about eight years. Everything was done to prolong life, but the death angel came and claimed him for his own. His spirit has gone to join his parents and take its place in the glorified throng that the Apostle John so beautifully describes as having "come up through great tribulations and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the lamb." Just before he died, he said he was willing to go and leave this world of sorrow and troubles and join his loved ones in that glorious land above. Deceased was in the sixty ninth year of his life. He leaves a loving wife and four children, one sister and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his death. His remains were laid to rest in Pleasant Grove cemetery on Monday, January 28, in the presence of a large concourse of weeping relatives and sympathizing friends.
