Robert Perkins Owens,76, a resident of Throckmorton County, was found dead in his home. He was born in Boone County, Arkansas. Though quite young at the time of enlistment, he served in Price's Army during the Civil War.
Robert Perkins Owens moved to Throckmorton County in the early 1890s and has been a great factor in the development of the country. He leaves many friends who appreciate the great loss Throckmorton County sustains in his death.
Graveside services were led by the Masons of Throckmorton County, he has been a member of that order for many years.
Survived by his wife; several children.
