Mrs. Allie Dekkenga, 92, of Sheldon, died Thursday at a nursing home in Sanborn.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the First Reformed Church in Sheldon with the Dr. Warren Hietbrink officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Matlock. Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m., Sunday at the Andringa Funeral Home in Sheldon.

Mrs. Dekkenga, formerly Allie Langstraat, was born June 26, 1895, in Sheldon. She lived her youth and attended school at Newkirk. She married John Dekkenga on Feb. 26, 1918 at Sheldon. They farmed in the Boyden and Matlock areas. Mr. Denninga died in 1967. After his death she moved to Sheldon and then to the Prairie View Retirement Home.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Andy (Lucy) Bosma of Sibley and Mrs. Marvin (Anna) Bomgaars of Mason City; five sons, Case of Bettendorf; Willis of Schofield, WI; Herman of Chino, CA; Louis of Ocheyedan; Martin of Sioux Center and John of Burnsville, MN; a sister, Mrs. Gertrude Vande Hoef of Hartley; 18 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren.
