George W. Fehr, 59, of 131 South Hull Street, Sinking Spring, was killed Monday morning when the pickup he was riding in was struck by a Conrail freight train at a crossing located in the block where he resides.

Born in South Heidelberg Township he was a son of the late Milton J. and Daisy (Reber) Fehr.

Fehr was employed by Goodwill Industries of Mid-Eastern PA, Shillington. He formerly was employed in the foundry of Hoffman Industries Inc, Sinking Spring, for 38 years before the foundry closed in 1987.

Surviving are two brothers; Vernon C, Schaefferstown and Richard D, West Lawn, and a sister, Evelyn Fehr, Sinking Spring.

Lamm and Witman Funeral Home, Wernersville, is in charge of arrangements.
