Indian Campaigns Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. He entered the US Army at Syracuse, New York. He served as a Private in Company C, 2nd US Cavalry. He was awarded the CMOH for action on May 15, 1870 at Little Blue, Nebraska. His citation reads "Gallantry in action".
