Clarence Coons was born March 29, 1888, near Howe, Nemaha County, Nebraska, and died at his home in Chester, Nebraska, Jan. 27, 1933.
At the age of fifteen he united with the United Brethren Church then south of Chester.
In 1910 he was united in marriage to May Blanchard.
He had lived in a wheel chair for the last twenty-two years.
He leaves the following members of his immediate family: his mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. John Coons, and three brothers and sisters: Roy and Frank Coons of Willard, Colo. Mrs. Nellie Moxham of Wymore, Nebr., and Della Kavanaugh, and Ruth and Floyd Coons of Chester.
Funeral services were held at the Christian Church, Monday at two-thirty, conducted by Frank N. Gardner, minister of the church. Interment was made in the Chester Cemetery.
