Mildred W. Williams,74, of Gulfport, went to her heavenly home on Saturday, October, 11, 2008 in Gulfport. She was born in Ocean Springs, MS on March 4, 1934, the youngest of 13 children.
Millie was a member of First Baptist Church of Biloxi and the Adult IV Jeannie Graham Sunday School Class. She also enjoyed attending the Sunday evening service at Fernwood Baptist Church which held a special place in her heart. She had a special group of friends "The Walkin' Girls" who met every morning at Edgewater Mall and was a real granddaughter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy. Her enthusiasm for life was evident in her willingness to pick-up great-grandchildren, run errands for any friend and help manage the family business.
All that loved her would agree that Millie could light up a room with her presence. Her sense of humor was insturmental in always seeing the positive side of life. Being young at heart, her time was consumed with her great-grandchildren on the playground, at the park or anywhere else their little hearts desired. She touched the lives of all who met her with a faith in that God was evident in the way she lived her life, seeing all as Jesus Christ did with forgiveness and love.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years Carlie N. Williams, her parents, Walter and Josephine Webb, her siblings, Tracey Webb, Hugh Webb, Sybil Beaugez, Audrey DeSilvery, Walter Webb, Carolyn Kiernan, Eula Switzer, Francis Webb, Priscilla Webb, and Alice Webb.
She leaves to cherish her memory, two sisters, Juanita Talianicich of Brownsville, TX and Viola Martin of Petal, MS; her children Freddie Leuenberger Jr. and Gloria Hancock, Lynne Williams Fayard, Eula and Danny Leuenberger, C.N. and Reachel Williams, Greg and Julie Williams; fifteen grandchildren, Freddie W. Leuenberger and Tina Leuenberger, Lindsay Leuenberger Allen, Melanie Fayard, Nathan and Melissa Fayard, Michelle Fayard Seymour and David Seymour, Christie Alford, Cynthia Alford Cari and Lance Chandler, Jordan Bennett, Bayley Bennett, Carley Williams, Beth and Jason Cook, Glen and Danielle Davis, Greg Williams Jr., Justin Williams, ten great-grandchildren, and many family, friends and all who ever experienced her smile hugs or laughter.
Visitation will be Monday, October 13, 2008 from 6:00PM till 9:00PM at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport. The funeral service will be Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at 11:00AM in the funeral home chapel with interment to follow at Southern Memorial Park in Biloxi.
