SYLACAUGA - Funeral service for Emma Sue Tyler, 87, will be Thursday, Dec. 31, at 2 p.m. at Radney-Smith Chapel with the Rev. Albert Pike officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Mrs. Tyler died Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Tyler; parents, Rueben and Ollie Abernathy; son, Phillip Noah Tyler; daughter, Bettye Sue Tyler; and brother, James Ruben Abernathy. She is survived by her son, John Eldred Tyler of Sylacauga; daughter, Patricia Weathers and her husband Sherrill of Sylacauga; four grandsons, Jack Pearce, Joshua Tyler, Matthew Tyler and wife Joy, and Andrew Tyler and wife Crystal; granddaughter, Miranda Heard and husband Courtney; three great-grandsons, Landon Tyler, Cameron Heard, and Jacob Davis.
