Mary Mildred Gillett was the daughter of Truman A Gillett and Mary Adelaide Barnes.
She moved with her family to the Town of Rolling, Langlade County, about 1879, when her uncle Solomon Barnes took a homestead there.
She married Herman Heinrich Schroeder, the son of Carl Friedrich Schroeder, who was a neighbor of Truman A Gillett.
The couple had ten children, Lyman 1900-1906, Mary Prudence 1902-1902, Neal Meredith 1904, Winnifred 1907-1909, Tracy Gorden 1909, Mildred Adelaide 1910, Jessie Herman 1912, Lida Irene 1914, Frederick Julian 1918-1918, Mary Millie 1922-1922.
Mary's obituary say she was "buried beside her departed children in the Hall Pioneer Cemetery". But there are presently no matching gravestones at the cemetery.

MRS. H. H. SCHROEDER DIED LAST EVENING
Pioneer of Town of Rolling Will Have Funeral Saturday Afternoon
Mrs. Herman H. Schroeder, whose maiden name was Mary Mildred Gillett died at her home in the town of Rolling at 10:45 Thursday evening, September 5.
Millie Gillett was born at Oshkosh, Wis, Aug. 23, 1875. She came to what is now the town of Rolling, Langlade county, with her parents, Mrs. Truman A. Gillett, Dec. 23, 1879, having resided there continuously since then. She grew up and received an education in a log school house in what is now Hillside district, later having taught school in what is the Pine Grove district.
On April 4, 1899, she was married to Herman H. Schroeder, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles F. Schroeder, who were also pioneers here. Ten children were born to the couple, six of whom died in infancy and at an early age.
Surviving her are her husband, two sons and two daughters, Neal, Tracy, Mrs. Adelaide Poshinsni, and Lida, who were all at home at the time of her death. Surviving her, also, are two brothers, Perry T. of Rolling and Claude W. Gillett of Anadarko, Oklahoma. Two cousins, Maud and George Gillett of Antigo.
Mrs. Schroeder was of a retiring disposition. She was a charter member of both Twintownship Grange and Langlade Pomona Grange. Of her enjoyments, first came her family, then her trips around the country, making quiet bservations of the country which she grew up and loved so well.
Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. F. E. Fisher at her late home at 2:30 o'clock Saturday, Sept. 7. Interment will be beside her departed children in the Hall Pioneer cemetery.
