Mrs. Lawrence B. Rice, 49, of 213 Spring St., died Monday after a long illness.
The former Victoria J. Kapchuck, she was born here Nov. 27, 1923, the daughter of John and Julie Swientek Kapchuck. She attended Rome schools. On Jan 8, 1944, she married Mr. Rice here.
Mrs. Rice attended the Church of Christ.
Survivors are her husband, her mother, Mrs. Michael Jackoecz [Jaceczko], Chicago; a daughter, Miss Diana L. Rice, Rome; four sons, Randolph B. Rice, Phillip J. Rice, Vernon K. Rice, and Douglas W. Rice; all of Rome; a brother, Stanley Kapchuck, Chicago, and a grandson, Randolph D. Rice, Rome.
The funeral will be Thursday at 10 at Martin J. Nunn Funeral Home, with Randolph Pritchett, Church Of Christ minister, officiating. Burial will be in Rome Cemetery.
Calling hours are 7 to 9 tonight and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Wednesday.
