In the history of the Church family published in 1887, it has a reference to Joseph Church's will. " To daughters, Elzabeth Blackman, Mary Wood, Deborah Gray and Abigail Simmons, enough each to make them equal with what land they had before." It goes on to list the children. Deborah is listed as married to Samuel Gray. It then states she married 2nd Daniel Troope.

Gray Family records note Deborah married Capt. Daniel Troope in 1713 in Little Compton. She was his third wife. They had 2 children: Capt Daniel 1715-1771 (site # 46180964), and Joseph (b 1717). Daniel died in 1737 in Lebanon, CT. Gray family records indicate Deborah returned to Rhode Island after Daniel's death and was buried with her first husband Samuel Gray. If she was buried with Samuel Gray no marker remains at that site. If she was buried with Daniel in Trumbull Cemetery, no marker is found for her there either.
