Eleanor B. Majkut, age 91 of Port Charlotte, Fla., died Sunday, December 27, 2009 at the Harbour Health Center in Port Charlotte. Mrs. Majkut was born December 7, 1918 in Scranton, Pa. to the late John and Blanche Misciewicz Barnjski. She was a former resident of Fairfield before moving to Port Charlotte, eleven years ago. She was a retired expediter for Sikorsky Aircraft. Mrs. Majkut was a devout member of St. Joseph National Catholic Church in Stratford and was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Port Charlotte. Survivors include her son, Jan P. Majkut and his wife, Janet of Port Charlotte; a brother, John Barnoski of Trumbull; grandchildren, Keith Majkut, Jan Marie Makjut, Kenneth Maykut Jr. and Jeb Maykut; and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Kenneth Maykut. Friends are invited to attend her funeral on Saturday at 11 a.m (DIRECTLY) at St. Joseph National Catholic Church, Stratford. Burial will be in St. Joseph National Catholic Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Friday in the Larson Funeral Home, 2496 North Ave., Bridgeport from 3 to 5 p.m.
