Ruthhelen Burreson Vise of Gatesville died Sept. 26 at her residence. She was 69.
Funeral services were held Sept. 29 at Scott's Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Larry VanZile and J.W. Sellers officiating. Burial was in Restland Cemetery.
She was born on Jan. 4, 1926, at Sulphur, Okla., to Mable Burreson and the late Palmer Burreson. She attended school for several years in Oklahoma before graduating from Cranfills Gap High School. She attended business school in Plainview and married Freeman Vise on Nov. 19,1949, in Waco.
They resided in Coryell County all of their married life. She was preceded in death by a son, Larry Freeman Vise, in 1986.
She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church where she served as a steward. She was also active with the Care Center.
Survivors include her husband, Freeman Vise, of Gatesville; one daughter, Judy Ruth Gephardt of Copperas Cove; two sons, Ted L. Vise of Waco and Jack C. Vise of Hart; her mother, Mable Burreson of Valley Mills; sisters, Dola Blum of Jonesboro, Cathryn Grier of Waco, Cora Wilson of Arlington, and Arazella Lyster of Alabama; one brother, Ralph Burreson of the Ames Community; seven grandchildren; and one great-granchild.
Nephews served as pallbearers.
