Services for Percy Beale Bittle, superintendent of the Eastland public schools were held at the Methodist Church in Eastland, Texas. Immediately following the services Hamner Undertaking Company transferred the remains to Brenham where services were held there in the Methodist Church. Mr. Bittle graduated from Texas A&M College in 1896. He went to Henderson, Texas as superintendent of schools in 1900 where he remained for 21 years. He was superintendent of Big Spring schools for six years and came from there to Eastland, Texas in 1928. He served as Superintendent of Schools in Eastland for 12 years.
Survived by his wife; one daughter - Gwendolyn Hoffman; one son - George Bittle; one granddaughter - Sylvia Ann Hoffman; two sisters - Mrs. John R. Bagley and Mrs. C.C. Todd; three brothers - Guy P. Bittle, Tom Bittle, Atwood Bittle.
