Joey went to St. Peter's High School in New Castle, DE and he graduated in 1966. After high school he then attended and graduated from Goldey Beacom College.
Joey liked to play basketball and card games.
He joined the United States Army and served with Company C, 2nd Battalion., 12th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division, USARV as a Infantryman during the Vietnam War.
He died in the " Line Of Duty " of a "Non-Battle" related incident ( accident ) in the Long Khanh Province, South Vietnam.
Son of Francis Joseph Tidwell and Helen Maczynski Tidwell.
Brother of Patricia Tidwell Shaw.
