"Buzz" lived in Newark and Georgetown while in high school. He attended Christiana High School and Georgetown High School. While at these schools he was a varsity wrestler and was on the varsity football team at Georgetown High.
He entered the USMC in Sept., 1966.
Buzz left Wilmington airport for Camp Pendleton, CA in January, 1967. He returned for one weekend the beginning of March and then shipped out for Vietnam.
He served with G Co, 2nd Bn, 5th Marines, 1st Mar Div, III MAF as a Rifleman during the Vietnam War.
He was "Killed In Action" in the Quang Nam Province, South Vietnam.
He was awarded two Purple Hearts during his service to his country in Vietnam.
Husband of Janis Partin whom he married on December 24, 1966 at the Wesley Methodist Church, Georgetown, DE.
