Alfred Kildal, 85, formerly of Shevlin, died Friday at Greensview Nursing Home in Bagley.
Funeral services are 1 p.m. Wednesday at Landstad Lutheran Church in Shevlin with Rev. Dennis O'Neil officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery under the direction of Cease Funeral Home of Bagley.
He was born March 22, 1902, at Shevlin, the son of Willing and Anne Kildal. He married Sophie Vaasendon on November 2, 1931, in McIntosh. The couple farmed in the Shevlin area until 1967 and before moving to Fosston for several years. His wife died in 1974, and Mr. Kildal had been a resident of the nursing home since 1985.
He is survived by a daughter, Annette (Mrs. James) Cashman of Port Angeles, Washington; a son, Maurice Kildal of Webster, New York; seven grandchildren; a brother, Edwin Kildal of Bagley; a sister, Alma Blomdahl of Bagley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two brothers and a sister.
