LENOIR - Cloyd Guthrie Fowler, 72, of Dudley Shoals Road, Granite Falls, died Oct. 3, 1999, at Frye Regional Medical Center.
Born April 27, 1927, in Caldwell County, he was a son of the late, John G. and Greta Guthrie Fowler.
A member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church, he worked in the furniture industry.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill Fowler and Ralph Fowler; and a sister, Elizabeth Fowler Mackie.
Survivors include his wife, Amy Hollars Fowler; a son, John C. Fowler of Granite Falls; and two grandchildren, Felicia Fowler and Ashly Fowler.
The funeral will be conducted by the Rev. Mitch Wilson at 11 a.m. today at his church.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Andy Mackie, Mike Teeters, Jim Mackie, John Mackie, Billy Fowler, and Tracy Fowler.
