An Obituary from "Gatesville Messenger & Star Forum," Thursday, June 30, 1994:

William N. (Bill) Paxton of McGregor died at his home June 23. He was 58.
Services were held Saturday at Scott's Funeral Home with Rev. Earl Baugh and Rev. Ron Dulany officiating. Burial was in Restland Cemetery.
Mr. Paxton was born in Gatesville on September 22, 1935, son of the late John G. and Eula Holliman Paxton, Sr. He was reared and attended school in Gatesville, graduating from Gatesville High School in 1954. He married Miss Frances Bryant on November 29, 1956.
Mr. Paxton worked for Phillips and North American Rockwall, and had been employed as a graphic artist with Hercules in McGregor for the past 32 years.
He was a member of Gateway Baptist Church in Gatesville.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Frances Paxton; two daughters, Katherine D. Paxton of San Francisco, California and Tracy Williamson of Temple; a sister, Alice Brooks of Waco; three brothers, Bobby Paxton of Gatesville, Kenneth Paxton of Spring and John G. Paxton Jr. of Dallas; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Bill Brooks, Bob Brooks, Rusty Cosper, Kent Paxton, Gary Paxton and Sam Morton.
Honorary pallbearers were Jim Berry; Ray Beeman; Pete Eggers; Dubby Paul; Hilton Thomas; and Randy Haines.
The family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society District 12, 1311 New Road, Waco, Texas 76710 or to Hospice of Waco, P.O. Box 5100, Waco, Texas.
